Check PC, Mac and Linux support separately

Verify which operating systems and versions the provider currently supports. A browser extension or a website that opens on a PC is not automatically a desktop application. Obtain the installer through the official website, and use a documented signature or checksum check when available. Before moving funds, confirm the backup location, recovery requirements and whether hardware signing is supported in that release.

Check where account information and backups are stored, what is needed to recover access and whether hardware signing is supported by the specific version. Review network availability and transaction fees using the provider’s current documentation. Use a small test transaction before moving a larger balance.
