Desktop wallets

Desktop wallets run as applications on a computer. Download installers from official sources and verify signatures or checksums when the provider documents a verification method. Keep the operating system and wallet updated and avoid treating an installed application as automatically safe.

Check where account information and backups are stored, what is needed to recover access and whether hardware signing is supported by the specific version. Review network availability and transaction fees using the provider’s current documentation. Use a small test transaction before moving a larger balance.
